Senior Financial Manager

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Manager to lead our financial operations and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Key Responsibilities:

  • The successful candidate will oversee the management of payroll, superannuation, and tax liabilities, ensuring timely settlements. They will also be responsible for monitoring accounts receivable, following up on payments, and ensuring accurate invoicing.

  • In addition, they will track spending, adhere to budgets, investigate transactions, and oversee cash flow and liabilities. The Senior Financial Manager will provide transaction data to bookkeepers, ensure account reconciliation, and respond to financial inquiries.

  • They will also prepare financial reports for the Board, assist auditors, and provide financial insights for decision-making.

Requirements:

  • A Chartered Accountant (CA) or CPA qualification; post-graduate qualifications are highly regarded.

  • 5+ years in a senior financial role, preferably in non-profit or community organizations.

  • Strong knowledge of Australian financial regulations, ASIC, and ACNC frameworks.

  • Experience in financial planning, analysis, reporting, and policy development.

  • Proficiency in Xero, MS Excel/Google Sheets, and ideally Salesforce.

  • Leadership skills, results-driven, and team-building abilities.

  • High ethics and integrity, committed to the organization's mission.

  • Reliable, accountable, and capable of meeting deadlines in remote work settings.
