Senior Staff Accountant Role

The Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity and timeliness of financial data critical to supporting business operations and strategic growth.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP principles.
  • Maintaining general ledger entries, adjusting entries and accruals.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Performing detailed account reconciliations for Balance Sheet accounts.
  • Tracking project/job costs and ensuring costs are recorded to appropriate jobs or cost codes.
  • Assisting in reviewing and processing vendor invoices, inquiries and statements of account.
  • Maintaining and reviewing monthly management credit card reports and employee reimbursements.
  • Analyzing financial performance, variances and trends to support decision making.
  • Utilizing ERP/accounting software for transaction processing, reporting and analysis.

Key qualifications for this role include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant required.
  • 2-5 years progressive accounting experience is required.
  • Experience in inventory and manufacturing is also required.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP accounting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with ERP systems and reporting tools.
