Job Opportunity

The Property Accountant role is a vital position within the accounting department. It involves managing daily accounting tasks and ensuring financial accuracy of specific properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Post and process journal entries to record all business transactions accurately.
  • Update accounts receivable and issue invoices in a timely manner.
  • Perform reconciliations on accounts payable and update records accordingly.
  • Assist in preparing balance sheets, income statements, and other financial documents according to company guidelines.
  • Review expenses, payroll records, and other assigned tasks.
  • Update financial data in databases to ensure information is accurate and accessible when needed.
  • Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports as required.
  • Collaborate with senior accountants in monthly/yearly closings.
  • Conduct annual CAM, tax, and insurance escalations, and prepare tenant packages.
  • Provide backup for vendor support and complete quarterly property snapshots.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a US Accountant.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent numerical skills and analytical abilities.
  • Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with accounting software like Yardi are advantageous.
  • Accounting experience in the real estate or hospitality industry is highly valued.
