Internal Control Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned internal control specialist to lead our audit efforts and ensure the integrity of our organization's financial systems.

The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective internal controls to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Conduct regular audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present detailed audit reports to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and reduce risk.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting, preferably in an audit role.
  • Advanced knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS frameworks, as well as relevant industry regulations and standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address potential risks and control weaknesses.
  • A high level of attention to detail and accuracy when reviewing financial documents and transactions.
  • Critical thinking skills to analyze complex financial data and make informed recommendations.
