Education Leader - Tutors

This is a leadership role that involves guiding and coaching tutors to deliver high-quality, data-driven instruction to students in K-12 grades.

The ideal candidate will have experience in special education and be able to onboard and coach tutors effectively. They must also be proficient in using various educational tools and technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Onboard new tutors by preparing them for their first session and showing them how to navigate curriculum and assessments.
  • Coach tutors on strategies for supporting students with diverse needs, including Autism, ADHD, ELL, behavior supports, and implementing IEP/504 accommodations.
  • Develop resources such as lesson plans, progress-monitoring tools, and templates for supporting students with special needs.
  • Run professional development sessions, provide feedback, and reflect on the effectiveness of the coaching program.
  • Enable edtech by creating tutorials and managing a virtual resource hub.
  • Support systems by providing guidance on troubleshooting, check-ins with tutors, families, and schools.
  • Ensure quality assurance by reviewing lesson plans for alignment with standards and IEP goals.
  • Track data and goals by setting targets with tutors and monitoring progress.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education (or related field) and 3+ years of experience working with students with special needs.
  • Proven experience in coaching or facilitating professional development programs.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain a professional demeanor.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in using Google Workspace, Zoom, and other educational tools.
  • Experience working in a virtual environment and ability to adapt to changes in work priorities.
