Leasing Manager Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Leasing Manager to oversee the leasing operations for our property portfolio. The ideal candidate will be a results-driven professional with a proven track record of driving occupancy and managing the entire leasing lifecycle, from initial inquiry to lease execution.

The successful Leasing Manager will be responsible for marketing available units, securing qualified tenants, and ensuring a seamless and positive experience for all prospective residents. This is a key role in achieving our occupancy and revenue goals while upholding our high standards of service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leasing & Marketing:
    • Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to attract prospective tenants for vacant units.
    • Manage online listings, respond to all inquiries promptly, and conduct virtual or in-person property tours.
    • Follow up with prospective tenants to move them through the leasing pipeline.
  • Tenant Screening & Application Processing:
    • Process rental applications, including conducting background checks, credit checks, and verifying employment and rental history.
    • Ensure all screening processes are conducted in strict compliance with fair housing laws and company policies.
  • Lease Administration:
    • Prepare, negotiate, and execute all lease agreements and related addenda with a high degree of accuracy.
    • Manage the lease renewal process, proactively reaching out to current residents to secure renewals.
  • Reporting & Market Analysis:
    • Maintain accurate records of all leasing activity in the property management software.
    • Prepare regular reports on leasing traffic, occupancy rates, and market trends.
    • Conduct market analysis to ensure rental rates are competitive and aligned with market conditions.
  • Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with prospective and current tenants.
    • Address questions and concerns from prospective tenants in a professional and timely manner.
