Job Title: Financial Operations Manager

This role involves overseeing financial transactions for a business, ensuring accurate recording and maintenance.

  • Purchases, expenses, sales revenue, invoices, payroll, and payments are all part of the job.
  • Reconciliations and year-end reporting require attention to detail.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with an Accountant to build strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Perform month-end and year-end close activities.
  • Manage Dext, Uncat, QuickBooks Online (QBO), Xero, and related systems.
  • Handle sales tax processing and filing.
  • Process payroll, including reconciliation, troubleshooting, and onboarding.
  • Manage accounts receivable, including importing transactions from e-commerce and third-party applications.
  • Complete monthly reconciliations of all bank, loan, and credit card statements.
  • Create and analyze financial reports for review.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Conduct year-end reconciliations and process 1099 forms.

Client & Team Collaboration

  • Maintain professional correspondence with clients and team members.
  • Conduct client-facing meetings and communications.
  • Track time and tasks in cloud practice management systems.
  • Ensure accurate and updated client records.

Accounting System Management

  • Oversee accounts payable processes and transactions.
  • Handle inquiries related to payments, invoice support, and account-related issues.
  • Set up, clean up, and convert accounting systems.

Requirements

A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required, along with 5+ years of bookkeeping experience. QBO Pro-Advisor Certification is preferred but not necessary. Experience with cloud accounting technology and cloud practice management systems is beneficial. Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail are essential for this role.
