Remote Medical Coder Position

We are seeking an experienced Medical Coding Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for abstracting patient charts and assigning accurate diagnostic codes.
About the Role:- Abstract patient charts and assign appropriate diagnostic codes in a timely and accurate manner.
- Synthesize important information from patient records and assign/review medical codes for accuracy.
- Ensure all federal, legal, and insurance regulations are met to facilitate timely payments.
- Assign correct ICD-10-CM and CPT codes for diagnoses and procedures.
- Review and update coding systems to ensure compliance with regulatory changes.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA privacy regulations.
- Collaborate with medical coding supervisors to resolve any coding discrepancies or concerns.
- AAPC/CPC-A license (non-medical graduates accepted).
- College undergraduates accepted if AAPC/AHIMA licensed.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
