Medical Coding Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled medical coder to join our revenue cycle management team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently coding medical diagnoses and procedures.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Coding: Assign accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes to patient diagnoses and procedures based on clinical documentation within electronic health records.
  • Coding Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines, regulations, and payer requirements, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Billing and Revenue Cycle: Work closely with billing staff to resolve coding-related claim denials and rejections, assist in the development and implementation of coding policies and procedures, and ensure timely and accurate submission of claims.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in medical coding, preferably in a psychiatry or mental health setting.
  • Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record and medical billing software.
