Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned automation expert to spearhead test automation innovation, driving strategic growth and expansion of testing frameworks to ensure scalability, efficiency, and reliability across all efforts.

This role requires deep expertise in Playwright, modern automation tools, and industry best practices. You will design, implement, and optimize automation frameworks, mentor engineers, and work collaboratively to embed automation into our CI/CD pipeline and DevOps strategy.

Your Responsibilities
  • Designs and implements scalable, reusable automation frameworks, focusing on Playwright for end-to-end (E2E) testing.
  • Leverages expertise to evolve test automation architecture, ensuring cutting-edge design patterns, performance, and maintainability.
  • Establishes and enforces automation standards, creating a center of excellence for test automation practices.
  • Conducts research and evaluation of cutting-edge tools to improve automation coverage, performance, and efficiency.
  • Mentors junior and mid-level engineers as a subject matter expert (SME) in Playwright and automation best practices.
  • Provides strategic guidance on test automation adoption across teams, influencing company-wide QA strategy.
  • Conducts code reviews and establishes best practices for automation test development.
  • Leverages training initiatives for manual QA engineers transitioning to automation roles.
  • Develops, maintains, and optimizes automated test scripts for functional, regression, performance, and API testing.
  • Eases integration of automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline, enabling continuous testing and deployment.
  • Implements parallel execution, distributed testing, and cloud-based automation solutions to enhance test efficiency.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to enhance test execution strategies and reporting.
  • Authors non-functional test scripts and executes them with good understanding of performance testing.
  • Defines and tracks automation KPIs to measure improvements in test coverage, execution time, and defect detection.
  • Manages test data management strategies for automated testing.
  • Promotes shift-left testing to drive early-stage automation within the SDLC.
  • Leverages AI-driven automation techniques to optimize test selection and execution.
  • Partners with stakeholders to drive quality-first development.
  • Engages in Agile ceremonies, advocating for automation-driven testing approaches.
  • Drives strategic initiatives that align automation efforts with business and technology goals.
  • Fosters a culture of automation-first testing across engineering teams.
  • Trains manual test engineers on automation tools and processes, helping them transition to automation engineers.
