Financial Operations Specialist

The Financial Operations Specialist will support the Head of Finance and Controller in maintaining the company's financial books, records, and accounting policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support month-end close procedures and maintenance of associated workpapers in accordance with GAAP and best practices.

  • Manage the fixed asset lifecycle from acquisition to disposal, tracking capital expenditures, calculating and recording monthly depreciation and amortization, and performing periodic reconciliations of fixed asset accounts.

  • Coordinate with the Revenue / Receivables team to drive timely cash applications.

  • Execute month-end close activities, preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and analyzing balance sheet and income statement accounts.

  • Reconcile intercompany accounts and ensure proper elimination entries are made for consolidating multiple legal entities.

  • Assist in preparing schedules and providing documentation for annual financial audits.

  • Interface with the accounts payable team to ensure appropriate classification of expenses and enforce best practices.
