As a key member of our healthcare team, the Patient Services Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring patient satisfaction and delivering exceptional care.
The primary responsibilities include interviewing patients to understand their needs, concerns, and queries. By listening attentively and empathetically, the Patient Services Coordinator ensures that each patient receives personalized attention and support throughout their journey.
Key tasks involve coordinating information from various sources, including medical personnel, administrative staff, consumers, family members, and third-party entities. The Patient Services Coordinator must be well-versed in facility policies, medical regulations, and community resources to provide informed guidance and support.
Responsibilities:- Answer incoming calls according to established procedures and departmental standards.
- Assist patients with their queries and concerns, providing prompt and courteous responses.
- Collect outstanding patient balances, adhering to relevant policies and procedures.
- Facilitate communication between patients, third-party entities, and internal stakeholders regarding account inquiries.
- Make outbound collection calls as required, following established protocols and guidelines.
- Address patient billing queries and concerns, offering clear explanations and solutions.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines by safeguarding protected health information.
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve departmental goals and objectives, fostering a positive work environment.
- Strive for punctuality and maintain a strong attendance record, demonstrating reliability and commitment to the team.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Prior college education or at least two years of relevant experience is preferred.
- Education and training in the medical field can be advantageous.

- Basic mathematical calculations and data entry skills.
