Job Overview

A medical care coordinator works closely with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care. In this role, you will facilitate effective communication between patients and their healthcare providers.


Responsibilities
  • Manage incoming and outgoing calls regarding inquiries, appointments, and data verification.
  • Maintain exceptional phone etiquette.
  • Navigate Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) for patient information.
  • Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility.
  • Provide administrative support including data entry, appointment scheduling, email management, record management, and time-keeping.
  • Triage patient inquiries, explain treatment plans, and assist with front-desk operations.
  • Establish strong relationships with healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Adhere to HIPAA policies and procedures.

Requirements
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • 1–2 years of experience in a healthcare-related field.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology.
  • A healthcare-related degree is preferred.
  • Intermediate skills with Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office.
  • HIPAA certification is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Impartiality.
  • Highly organized.
  • Computer savvy.
