Job Overview

The Chief Underwriting Officer serves as the senior leader responsible for the performance of the Underwriting Division.

This critical role requires a deep understanding of the insurance industry, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to drive results through effective management and strategy.

  1. This position is accountable for monitoring and assessing individual performances and results of each line, including those of Line Heads and Reinsurance.

  2. It is essential to ensure that all acceptances are within the bounds of the company's policies and guidelines, demonstrating a strong commitment to regulatory compliance.

  3. The successful candidate will possess a college education, preferably with an engineering background, and be licensed by the Insurance Commission for all lines.

  4. A minimum of 15 years of experience in the Non-Life Industry and Underwriting, including Reinsurance, is required, along with proficiency in MS Office and strong analytical skills.

  5. Furthermore, participation in various seminars and trainings across all lines of insurance, including Surveying, Risk Management, Reinsurance, and Leadership, is highly valued.

  • Education: College degree, preferably with an engineering background
  • Licenses: Licensed by the Insurance Commission for all lines
  • Experience: At least 15 years in the Non-Life Industry and Underwriting, including Reinsurance
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills, proficient in MS Office, excellent interpersonal relationship skills, and exceptional verbal and written communication and negotiation skills
  • Training: Participation in various seminars and trainings across all lines of insurance
