Financial Operations Specialist Role

We are seeking a skilled Junior Account Receivable Specialist to play a vital role in our finance department's efficiency and integrity. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of the accounts payable function.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and produce customer invoices accurately and efficiently
  • Review and mail monthly customer statements in a timely manner
  • Post customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions correctly
  • Verify and enter transactions for revenue postings with precision
  • Update receivables by totaling unpaid invoices regularly
  • Resolve valid or authorized deductions by correcting customer accounts promptly
  • Examine payment plans and history to determine the need for collection letters on delinquent accounts
  • Maintain invoice accounts and prepare reports as required
  • Assist other finance areas such as accounts payable as needed
  • Research and negotiate chargeback claims efficiently
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • A tertiary qualification in Accounting or a related business field is preferred
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply, with a willingness to learn and grow
  • 1-2+ years of experience in a similar role within a medium to large-sized organization is an advantage but not essential
  • Knowledge of accounts receivable and general accounting principles is necessary
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required
  • SAP experience is desirable but not essential
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize and manage workload effectively are essential
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and sound analytical and problem-solving abilities are also required
  • Flexibility to undertake a variety of tasks and juggle multiple responsibilities is essential
