About the Role:

As a Product Development Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring a smooth product development lifecycle. You will work closely with our team to source new suppliers, manage timelines, and meet deadlines. This role requires strong organizational skills and agility to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new suppliers, including all direct communication, sample sourcing, pricing negotiation, and timeline management.
  • Conduct financial analyses for new & ongoing products, including cost and margin analysis, using Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Work closely with the product development team to understand product requirements and ensure that activities align with product development timelines and budgets.
  • Identify and source new suppliers to meet business needs.
  • Manage timelines and meet deadlines to ensure timely delivery of all new products launched per season.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in Product Development
  • Desirable: Experience in Beauty, Hair Goods or Hair Accessories
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in Financial Analysis and Data Analysis using Excel or Google Sheets
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with Suppliers and Internal Stakeholders
