Job Overview:

  • Prepare and review personal income tax returns for individuals, covering employees, business schedules and rental properties.
  • Declare income from all sources.
  • Input dividends, distributions and associated franking credits.
  • Input allowable deductions.
  • Prepare business schedules and reconcile income and expenses.
  • Prepare rental schedules with depreciation schedules if applicable.
  • Prepare motor vehicle schedules if applicable.
  • Calculate capital gains on disposal of assets if applicable.
  • Review and prepare financial statements, tax returns and instalment activity statements and business activity statements for companies, trusts, partnerships and superannuation funds.
  • Analyse ledger data and perform ledger scrutiny.
  • Reconcile bank, loan, GST related items, asset register and depreciation schedules etc.
  • Prepare monthly management reports for review.
  • Regularly enter client records and maintain books.
  • Compile and prepare documents and workpapers as required.
  • Collaborate with tax agents or managers.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy.
  • Professional licence (passed board licence exam).
  • At least 3 years working experience in the field.
  • Experience with cloud accounting software such as Xero and Sage HandiTax is beneficial.
  • Proven ability to engage with clients via email.
  • Strong English skills for communication with Australian clients.
  • Dynamic personality and enthusiasm for continuous learning.
