We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team as a key member of the finance department.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, QuickBooks Online, Excel, and financial reporting platforms such as Fathom. They will be responsible for maintaining accurate and organized financial records, ensuring seamless bookkeeping processes.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a forward-thinking company that values efficiency, transparency, and compliance. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience, preferably in a remote environment or the cannabis industry.

  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records, ensuring seamless bookkeeping processes.
  • Post daily transactions in QuickBooks Online.
  • Process invoices, receipts, purchase orders, accounts payable/receivable, and supplier/vendor payments.
  • Reconcile bank statements and general ledger monthly.
  • Reconcile company credit card statements monthly.
  • Prepare financial data and reports using Excel and Fathom.
  • Extract and compile expense submissions via Dext.
  • Support payroll activities, issue refunds, and supplier payments.
  • Identify and correct errors or discrepancies, ensuring compliance with internal policies.
  • Assist with audit preparation and reporting as needed.
