Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and communicative individual to serve as our publishing assistant. This role will involve coordinating book creation, collaborating with illustrators and ghostwriters, and supporting marketing and publishing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination: Assist in managing children's book development from concept to publication; coordinate with freelancers; monitor project timelines and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Content Support: Review and provide feedback on drafts; organize book-related files and documentation.
  • Marketing & Advertising Assistance: Support promotional efforts including advertising, content preparation for listings, and outreach; help strategize and execute marketing campaigns across online platforms.
  • Publishing Support: Research best practices for self-publishing platforms; assist in formatting manuscripts for publication; track royalties, sales, and promotional results.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of one year experience in publishing, editorial support, or project coordination in a creative field.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience collaborating with creatives such as illustrators and writers.
  • A self-starter with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.
  • Comfortable working independently.
  • Familiarity with children's book content and trends is advantageous.
Work Schedule

Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 7:00 pm PST schedule.
