As a critical security expert, you will utilize your advanced knowledge of bot detection and web traffic analysis to identify anomalous activities within our hCaptcha SaaS security platform. Your primary responsibilities include conducting in-depth investigations of potential automated and human threats, analyzing complex patterns and behaviors, and developing actionable insights to enhance our security posture.

Your core tasks involve:

  • Monitoring various sources for suspicious events and responding with urgency.
  • Collaborating with globally distributed teams to achieve common goals.
  • Contributing to the collection of metrics that measure the effectiveness of Security Operations functions.
  • Ensuring compliance with security norms by auditing our systems.
  • Assisting in the implementation of security policies and procedures.
  • Fine-tuning processes and updating standard operating procedures for the team.
  • Participating in incident investigations and threat hunting engagements.

We are seeking an individual with expertise in web and API security, coding standards, WAFs, and bot mitigation. Hands-on SQL proficiency is mandatory, as well as knowledge of managing production web environments with tools like Kubernetes. Familiarity with Threat Hunting - Web/ API, web hacking, and data analysis is also beneficial.

A successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of web technology and application security fields, as well as a deep understanding of the cybersecurity landscape and attacker mindset. Experience in scripting and programming (JavaScript, Python, etc.) is required. Interest in staying up-to-date with industry trends and market demands is essential.

Bonus skills include familiarity with open source analytics and visualization tools like Grafana, Apache Superset, and experience in red-teaming and whitehat hacking.
