The Payroll Manager plays a crucial role in processing payroll from start to finish, ensuring compliance with local regulations for multiple sites or entities. This individual will also lead projects related to payroll as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and improve payroll processes.
- Provide managerial support and guidance for payroll activities.
- Manage payroll and timekeeping systems.
- Maintain partnerships with vendors for payroll, timekeeping, garnishments, and governmental agencies.
- Ensure solid understanding of employment law, regulatory, and legal compliance to address notifications and provide guidance to the team.
- Complete payroll reconciliations and design new reports as needed.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma required.
- Bachelor's Degree with emphasis on business or accounting preferred.
- Experience with computerized payroll processing.
- Microsoft Excel and Word proficiency.
- Must be detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines.
