Job Overview

The Product Manager plays a pivotal role in the development and management of products. This individual is responsible for ensuring product growth, profitability, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assists in achieving departmental business objectives through sales, revenue, profitability, and cost management. Participates in determining revenue targets, support requirements, and expense budgets.
  2. Acts as Co-Business Owner, ensuring timely product delivery and optimal product performance.
  3. Introduces new products and innovations using global banks as benchmarks, concepts from other industries, and new technologies.
  4. Formulates and recommends strategies and action plans to enhance existing products and services.
  5. Coordinates product development processes with project managers, ensuring timely delivery of products/enhancements. Coordinates with various bank units for this purpose.
  6. Prepares concept papers, business cases, business requirement documentation, and other necessary documents for approval by various committees. Prepares documentation for BSP notification/approval. Finalizes Product Manuals, standard Memoranda of Agreement (MOAs), change requests, and other documents to implement new/enhancements to products/services.
  7. Finalizes Service Level Agreements (SLAs) between business and operating units that will have a direct impact on assigned projects, if applicable.
  8. Formulates training programs, information and communication plans, distribution channel strategies, and promotional campaigns to pursue business growth.
  9. Monitors and analyzes product performance, campaigns, and projects versus targets, P&L, and ROI objectives; formulates and implements action plans to improve product performance.
  10. Reviews product costing and ensures it is updated and competitive.
  11. Regularly conducts research regarding products: competitive surveys, feedback from customers and other stakeholders, internet-based research, etc. Initiates and recommends relevant research that could require external resources. Keeps abreast of industry/global trends and uses these to explore opportunities to grow assigned products.
  12. Prepares accurate and timely reports to internal and/or external units and/or parties.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  1. Preferably with two years' banking experience specifically exposure on banking products.
  2. Working knowledge of sales methods and practices.
  3. Good knowledge of banking and financial products.
  4. Strong leadership skills.
  5. Good product management skills.
  6. Strong work ethic / highly driven and self-motivated / passion to excel.
