Key Roles and Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly motivated Tax Associate to join our dynamic team. As a key member of the team, you will help clients maximize their opportunities by providing expert sales tax compliance services.

Principal Accountabilities
  • Prepare and file state and local sales tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Conduct in-depth research on various indirect tax matters, including nexus and state filing requirements
  • Respond to notices received and participate in sales tax reviews, leveraging your analytical skills
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management, adapting to changing priorities
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or related field from an accredited institution
  • 1-2 years of experience in tax and/or accounting, with a focus on sales tax compliance
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment
  • A quick learner, capable of adapting to a fast-paced setting and embracing new challenges
  • General computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • A data-conscious individual, willing to learn how systems/software integrate and produce information to verify data or identify anomalies
  • A proven track record of working independently, with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility
  • Responsible and reliable, capable of maintaining individual production while fostering a team atmosphere
  • Possess deductive reasoning and a growth mindset, open to innovative solutions
