Senior Financial Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Financial Manager to join our organization. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for overseeing financial operations and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, including experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. They will also possess excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

The role will involve managing a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and support as needed. The successful candidate will also be responsible for preparing and presenting financial reports to senior management and the board.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Operations: Oversee financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and laws.
  • Team Management: Manage a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and the board.
Requirements:
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) qualification; post-graduate qualifications are highly regarded.
  • 5+ years in a senior financial role, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian financial regulations and laws.
  • Experience in financial planning, analysis, and policy development.
  • Proficiency in Xero, MS Excel/Google Sheets, and ideally Salesforce.
  • Leadership skills, results-driven, and team-building abilities.
  • High ethics and integrity, committed to our organization's mission.
  • Reliable, accountable, and capable of meeting deadlines in remote work settings.
