Key Responsibilities

The Senior Financial Analyst will conduct in-depth analyses of revenue, costs, client margins and SG&A expenses to identify historical trends, current operations and future projections.

They will collaborate with senior management to provide critical insights that inform strategic decisions on revenue growth, expense control and financial planning.

Core Functions
  • Interpret statistical data and apply accounting principles to analyze past, present and future financial performance.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our financial projection model and update metrics as needed to ensure accurate and timely forecasting.
  • Create comprehensive financial models, prepare detailed forecasts and conduct thorough research and analysis on all aspects of finance and operations.
  • Meet with the Chief Financial Officer to develop project plans and communicate progress.
  • Update the financial projection model as required to reflect new or revised data and communicate changes.
  • Demonstrate expertise in accounting principles, including the ability to interpret business transactions and journalize correctly.
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by gathering and analyzing account information.
  • Provide recommendations for financial actions based on accounting options.
  • Support budgeting processes, which may involve data collection, analysis and reporting from various systems.
  • Utilize online training and on-the-job experience to become a subject matter expert in Business Intelligence (BI) within Ultimate Software.
  • Design and maintain user reports in BI to support data-driven decision making across departments.
  • Use internal software and metrics to provide departmental budget and actual data, along with related analyses.
  • Other reporting duties as required.
  • May design, implement and maintain accounting systems to control GL, reporting, receivables and expenditures.
  • Contribute to team success by completing related tasks as needed.
  • Perform administrative duties to support all above functions.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding internal and external customers, team members and management.
  • Other duties as assigned.
