Product Development Manager

This role requires a strategic product development leader to oversee the entire product lifecycle. Key responsibilities include developing value propositions, coordinating development teams, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Implement product development workstreams
  • Conduct market research to uncover customer needs and wants
  • Leverage existing market studies, customer insights, and competition analysis
  • Conceptualize customer value proposals aligned with partner environments and objectives
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver product and program requirements
  • Presents to and coordinates with approving bodies as necessary
  • Prepare product-related documents for filing with regulatory bodies
  • Facilitate internal clearance processes and maximize resources
  • Develop strong partnerships with key stakeholders to drive strategy buy-in
  • Work hand in hand with distribution teams
  • Analyses product performance trends and makes enhancements to comply with new regulations
Requirements

A bachelor's degree holder preferably in mathematics, actuarial science, business administration, management engineering, or other related courses. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in product development and management, including extensive experience in microinsurance is an advantage. Insurance exposure/experience in life and HMO companies is preferred.

Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Results-oriented and proactive approach
  • Excellent people skills to interact with senior management, colleagues, and cross-functional teams
  • Financial understanding is an advantage
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication skills (oral/written) with fluency in English
