Compensation Analyst

\

The Compensation Analyst is a critical role responsible for managing the entire compensation process, ensuring timely and accurate payment of employees across various locations.

\

This position works closely with HR, Finance, and external vendors to resolve compensation-related issues, ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and provide exceptional customer service to employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process bi-weekly payroll for multiple state employees and weekly off-cycle payrolls, ensuring accuracy and adherence to collective bargaining agreements and internal policies.\
  • Audit timecards, rate changes, retroactive adjustments, bonuses, and final pay calculations, ensuring approval by managers before processing.\
  • Verify deductions, including benefits, union dues, garnishments, auto allowance, and Direct Bill payments.\
  • Manage W-2s, year-end filings, and state tax withholdings setup, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.\
  • Work with Paycom to ensure proper tracking and application of the Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) for eligible employees.\
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state compensation and leave laws, labor regulations per FLSA, and prevailing wage requirements.\
  • Audit compensation data regularly for compliance and accuracy, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.\
  • Perform regular audits on benefits deductions, vacation accruals, and group term life insurance, ensuring accuracy and compliance.\
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all compensation functions, ensuring consistency and efficiency throughout the organization.\
  • Partner with HR, Finance, and external vendors to resolve compensation-related issues, aligning compensation with organizational goals and objectives.\
  • Provide training and support to management on compensation systems and processes, ensuring a high level of understanding and expertise throughout the organization.\
