Key Responsibilities
  • Manage compensation packages using payroll software to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Collect and verify timekeeping information for all employees to facilitate timely payments.
  • Calculate pay according to hours worked, incorporating leaves and overtime, to maintain fairness and equity.
  • Calculate bonuses and commissions when appropriate to reward exceptional performance.
  • Manage and calculate taxes and deductions to minimize errors and maximize compliance.
  • Initiate periodical payments timely either by preparing and administering checks or making direct deposits through a bank payment system.
  • Issues statements and invoices and maintain records to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Update paper and electronic payroll records by entering adjustments on pay rates, employee status changes etc.
  • Calculate unemployment and severance payments to support employees during challenging times.
  • Deal with complaints and questions regarding payroll from employees and upper management to provide excellent customer service.
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in payroll to maintain trust and credibility.
