
Disaster Relief Operations Specialist

We are seeking Disaster Response Agents to work in a temporary, remote capacity as part of our disaster relief efforts.
Candidates selected for this role will be contacted via email and text on an as-needed basis.
Hours of operation are from 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM ET, with shifts from 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM and 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
Responsibilities:- Provide exceptional customer service and support to individuals affected by disasters.
- Learn the common requests and solutions related to disaster response.
- Improve the customer's experience through effective communication and issue resolution.
- Utilize our service techniques and systems to ensure timely and efficient responses.
- Elevate customer dissatisfaction to the appropriate channels for further assistance.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills essential.
- Able to type quickly and accurately (20+ words per minute).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and basic knowledge of Windows operating systems.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality expected.
- Ability to evaluate, troubleshoot, and follow up on customer issues effectively.
- Aptitude for conflict resolution, problem-solving, and negotiation necessary.
- Customer-centric approach required, with empathy, responsiveness, patience, and conscientiousness.
- Ability to multitask, stay focused, and manage oneself in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong team orientation and customer focus essential.
- Able to thrive in an environment where change and ambiguity are prevalent.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with colleagues and customers.
This position operates in a professional office setting. While performing the duties of this role, the employee will be largely sedentary and may need to sit/stand for extended periods while using a computer and telephone headset.
The employee will regularly use computers and other office equipment, including phones, copiers, and printers. Occasional movement around the office may be required to accomplish tasks; reach in any direction; lift, carry, or move objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
