Facilities Engineer Job Description

Our company seeks a skilled Facilities Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining data center support facilities, including electrical power distribution, UPS, generators, HVAC equipment, chiller plants, fire alarm and detection systems, fire suppression systems, access control systems, security surveillance systems, and wire management systems.

The Facilities Engineer will also coordinate with affiliates and customer facilities management teams to implement contracted preventive maintenance of building facilities. This includes drawing engineering plans, cost estimates, project schedules, and material specifications for facility-related projects and customer requirements.

The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. He/she should be able to inspect project construction activities to ensure conformance to plans and specifications.

The Facilities Engineer will also work closely with technicians on daily operation and maintenance activities, generate reports for O&M for each equipment, and keep and update equipment history records. He/she will submit periodic reports, such as O&M performance reports and project status reports.

Additionally, the Facilities Engineer will perform troubleshooting and product support to meet customer service level agreements. He/she will be available on-call 24/7 to respond or assist in the event of an emergency or facilities problem affecting project completion and services.

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual who can provide regular reports and updates and complete special tasks/projects as assigned by the Facilities Head.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Graduate of Mechanical Engineering
  • Registered Mechanical Engineer
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
  • Knowledge of 24×7 operations and maintenance of electrical systems, air conditioning systems, electromatic auxiliary systems, or structured cabling
  • Ability to perform problem analysis and initial recommendation on physical cabling systems and building facilities
  • Open to working on call and 24/7 shift schedules
  • Willingness to start ASAP
  • Availability to work at VITRO Davao
