Financial Operations Specialist

The role involves managing the day-to-day accounting operations for multiple portfolio companies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • ·
Maintain full-cycle accounting for multiple portfolio companies across various industries.
· Record journal entries, perform account reconciliations, and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
· Manage accounts payable/accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.
· Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to drive business growth.
· Support audits and tax preparation processes in coordination with external auditors and tax advisors to maintain regulatory compliance.
· Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting by liaising with internal stakeholders and external service providers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or progress toward CPA preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a multi-client or multi-entity environment.
  • Real estate experience is a must, while industry experience in manufacturing and distribution is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with NetSuite ERP required, along with a strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment, maintaining a high level of integrity and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working in a private equity or investment firm environment.
  • Familiarity with consolidations and intercompany transactions.
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
