Senior Software Engineer Position

We are a dynamic team seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Melbourne-based operation. Our company delivers cutting-edge internet services, prioritizing speed, reliability, and exceptional customer experience.

This role involves collaborating with the development team and internal stakeholders to maintain and enhance existing systems, investigate and resolve reported issues, guide maintenance and design of legacy and database systems/applications, developing test cases and testing of code developed by yourself and others, providing support to the wider development team, communicating with internal stakeholders to accurately scope and design system requirements, maintaining documentation for internal systems, APIs, and databases, and adherence to security best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and enhance existing systems with new functionality.
  • Investigate and resolve reported issues.
  • Guide maintenance and design of legacy and database systems/applications:
    • Optimize SQL queries for performance and scalability.
    • Inform design of robust and secure database applications.
  • Developing test cases and testing of code developed by yourself and others.
  • Providing support to the wider development team.
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders to accurately scope and design system requirements.
  • Maintain documentation for internal systems, APIs, and databases.
  • Adherence to security best practices.
