Job Title: ICT Support Specialist

We are seeking an experienced ICT Support Specialist to join our team. As an ICT Support Specialist, you will provide technical support and assistance to customers and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

">
  • Provide telephone and face-to-face technical support to users regarding Desktop issues.
  • Respond to requests for assistance by providing information to enable users to resolve their problems.
  • Maintain accurate log entries of faults with resolution and contact details.
  • Maintain accurate log entries of all times whilst on shift.
  • Implement hardware/software installations and routine upgrades according to Service Level Agreements.
  • Ensure a professional service by regularly updating requests and providing realistic resolution times.
  • Interface between users and service providers, supplying diagnostic information according to procedures.
  • Evaluate technical queries that are not progressing and escalate them to Network Engineers according to established procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing team training.

Requirements:

  • At least 2-3 years of relevant IT Support experience coupled with relevant tertiary qualifications.
  • Technical knowledge of Desktop hardware and both standard and customised (in-house) software.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good time management and communication skills.
  • Able to manage multiple problems at once and prioritise issues.
  • Strong customer service focus.
  • Knowledge of the organisation's Standard Operating Environment (SOE)
  • Excellent English communication skills, written and verbal.
