The Senior Settlement Specialist role is a pivotal position within our organization.

This individual will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate settlement of cash flows for Interest Rates and Credit Derivatives trades. This involves conducting thorough pre-settlement checks, affirming cashflows with counterparties, and monitoring team performance to ensure seamless execution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Detect, escalate, and resolve booking issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure timely settlement while proactively managing risks associated with cash flow transactions.
  • Adhere to established procedures and policies governing settlements and cash management.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and provide guidance to team members on trade life cycle management.
  • Maintain control functions, including approving journals and payments, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Monitor settlements and payment task stations to identify areas for process improvement.

To excel in this role, candidates should possess a strong understanding of financial markets, trade life cycles, and risk management principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with ISDA definitions and SWIFT messages are also highly desirable. A degree in Business, Finance, or a related field, combined with relevant experience and excellent analytical skills, make for a competitive candidate.
