Our team is seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Senior Financial Settlement Specialist. In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate settlements of cash flows for interest rates and credit derivatives trades.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and be able to work effectively in a high-pressure environment. You should have a solid understanding of financial markets, trade life cycles, and settlement functions.

We are looking for an individual who is proficient in Microsoft Office and has the ability to perform complex calculations related to interest cash flows. Additionally, prior experience with platforms such as Calypso or Summit is an asset.

About the Role:

  1. Timely and Accurate Settlements: Ensure that all cash flows are settled in a timely and accurate manner.
  2. Financial Analysis: Conduct thorough financial analysis to identify any potential issues that may impact settlements.
  3. Collaboration: Work closely with other teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  4. Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our settlement processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Minimum 18 months of relevant experience with a good track record.
  • Strong knowledge of financial markets, trade life cycles, and settlement functions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to perform interest cash flow calculations.
  • Familiarity with ISDA definitions, market standards, and SWIFT messages (MT101, MT199, MT202/202COV, MT299, MT103).
  • Prior experience with platforms such as Calypso or Summit is an advantage.
  • Strong business writing, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Able to perform under high-pressure, high-volume environments with flexibility.
