Job Overview

The primary function of this role is to procure indirect commodities and services in ELX to ensure a continuous and timely supply at optimal cost and quality. This position supports the Supply Chain Management (SCM) team to define requirements and participate in supplier selection and relationship building to leverage Eaton's purchases and reduce costs.

Responsibilities
  • Procurement of indirect categories and commodities through bidding, benchmarking, and negotiation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve project outcomes.
  • Develop and manage the supplier base to ensure cost-effective supply with consistent quality and service levels.
  • Monitor and report on compliance to service agreements and strategy.
  • Assist in negotiating contracts to ensure optimal supply and cost structures.
  • Collect and analyze data with accuracy and maintain ERP systems.
  • Support SCM teams in establishing cross-functional teams for supplier selection.
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments and SCM interfaces.
  • Liaise with vendors and suppliers while maintaining customer relationships.
  • Provide regular reports on procurement activities and data maintenance.
  • Drive annual cost savings and provide reporting on status.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or above.
  • Understanding of business unit needs at a sub-regional level.
  • Knowledge of technical specifications, product performance requirements, manufacturing processes, and end user expectations.
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
  • Ability to develop effective commercial contracts.
  • Awareness of other functional roles and responsibilities.
  • Intimate knowledge of labor industry trends and risks.
  • SAP purchasing experience and e-Procurement implementation.
  • Understanding of international tax, duty, tariff implications.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Highly responsible, logical thinking, and team spirit.
  • Ability to lead and achieve results through people.
