Job Title: Solution Documentation Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Solution Documentation Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating user-friendly documentation that supports our API and Design System. This role requires strong technical writing skills, with the ability to transform complex information into engaging and accessible content.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with developers to gain a deep understanding of our API and supporting products.
  • Work with the developer community to understand their needs and expectations, ensuring that all documentation meets industry standards and best practices.
  • Owning and managing API documentation, ensuring it follows a consistent format and meets customer expectations.
  • Writing high-quality content that transforms complex technical information into something engaging and delightful.
  • Providing code snippets and on-page technical content for our developer portal.
  • Advocating for technical users and participating in customer-centric research.
  • Assessing the state of our current technical content and developing innovative approaches for improvement.
  • Aiding in the creation and maintenance of a company-wide design system.
  • Collaborating with brand copywriters to ensure consistent tone-of-voice.
  • Making critical decisions and establishing documentation strategies that ensure information is accurate and available promptly.
  • Facilitating technical training for internal teams about the API and related topics.

Requirements:

  • 4-7 years of experience in technical writing, preferably with APIs or software development.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and grammatical communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to present insights and data clearly and concisely.
  • Prior experience working with engineering teams or similar.
