C++/Rust Graphics and Windowing System Software Engineer
Job OverviewOur organization is seeking a skilled software engineer to contribute to the design and implementation of features across the Mir stack. The ideal candidate will have excellent modern C++ and Rust programming skills, familiarity with Linux as a development and deployment platform, and ability to collaborate remotely with a diverse set of team members.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement features across the Mir stack
- Assist in debugging, tracking down and fixing issues
- Participate in code and architectural reviews
- Create and improve tests and performance benchmarks to catch issues early
- Engage with the open source community and commercial partners
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of industry experience, preferably in building window compositing systems or graphics device experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills are also essential for documenting and presenting software developed.
