Business Development Manager

The Account Manager for offline Payments plays a crucial role in strengthening and growing ShopeePay's merchant partnerships. This position focuses on reviving existing relationships and driving the performance of key accounts. The ideal candidate will craft and execute strategies to increase volume, ensure satisfaction, and cultivate strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategies to grow existing merchants through adoption and engagement.
  • Revive existing partnerships by renegotiating terms while ensuring profitability.
  • Manage high-value merchants, promoting as a preferred payment solution for transactions.
  • Build and maintain after-sales management, including inquiries, disputes, and variances.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to design and implement campaigns that boost merchant performance.
  • Oversee system integrations and successful rollout of projects for the Payment-to-Merchant (P2M) business.
  • Keep track of industry trends and campaigns related to QR PH.
  • Provide market insights from merchants' perspectives, including understanding products, sellers, markets, and competitor dynamics.
  • Coordinate with internal partners to execute merchant programs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree graduate. Background in Business Administration, Management, or relevant fields is a plus.
  • At least three years of work experience in sales, acquisition, business development, and/or account management.
  • Strong understanding of the digital payments landscape. Experience in a start-up, fintech, payments is a plus.
  • Above-average interpersonal and networking skills.
  • Good communication, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
  • Comfortable working with numbers.
  • Agile, able to work swiftly, pivot quickly with changes in direction.
  • Proficient in MS Office / Google suites.
