We are seeking a Senior SMSF Accountant to join our team. This role will involve preparing and reviewing SMSF financial statements, tax returns, and compliance documentation.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and reviewing SMSF financial statements and tax returns;
  • Reviewing and managing complex fund transactions, including pensions, contributions, and investment portfolios;
  • Liaising with auditors to finalise SMSF compliance reviews;
  • Supervising and mentoring junior SMSF accountants;
  • Providing technical support to client managers;

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to take on a leadership role within our accounting team.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in SMSF accounting within an Australian accounting firm;
  • In-depth knowledge of SMSF legislation, SIS Act, and ATO requirements;
  • Experience with Class Super, BGL, or other SMSF administration software;
  • Strong review and supervisory skills;
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities;
