Job Title: Civil Engineer

Civil engineers are responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing the construction of various infrastructure projects.

This role involves working closely with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet safety standards.

Civil engineers must have strong problem-solving skills, be able to work well under pressure, and have excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare comprehensive grading plans to ensure proper site elevation, slope stability, and drainage patterns.
  • Draft sediment and erosion control plans using appropriate control measures such as silt fences, sediment basins, and slope stabilization methods.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and environmental specialists to ensure accurate and compliant plan sets.
  • Incorporate stormwater management systems into plans to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Drafting, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in drafting civil site plans, particularly in grading, sediment, and erosion control.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other industry-standard drafting software.
  • Understanding of stormwater management systems, hydrology, and soil erosion control practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality drawings.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
