System Software Engineer Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled System Software Engineer to join our team. As a System Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing software systems that meet the needs of our clients.

Your primary focus will be on creating efficient and effective software solutions using Go programming language. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our software meets the highest standards of quality, performance, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop software systems using Go programming language
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop software solutions
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code to meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and security
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices and standards within the team
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and develop software solutions that meet those needs
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong foundation in computer science and software engineering principles. You should have experience with Go programming language and be able to demonstrate your skills through coding examples or personal projects.

You will also need to be a strong communicator and be able to work effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver software solutions that meet business needs.

Desirable Skills:
  • Experience with cloud-native software and Linux
  • Experience with packaging software for Debian and Ubuntu
  • Long-term experience as a Linux user
  • Exceptional academic track record from both high school and university
  • Undergraduate degree in a technical subject or alternative chosen path
