Senior Software Engineering Leader

We're seeking a seasoned software engineering leader to spearhead our technical endeavors and drive innovation in software development.

This role involves overseeing the development of high-quality software products, enhancing existing platforms, and providing strategic guidance to teams.

  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver complex software projects on time and to agreed quality standards.
  • Collaborate with scrum masters, project managers, and engineers to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain web-based and desktop applications.
  • Provide technical leadership in all aspects of software development processes, including full-stack development, modern architectures, CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Maintain high standards of software quality by establishing good practices and habits within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of new software systems and enhancements to existing systems.
  • Ensure all software engineering projects are delivered on time and to the agreed quality standards.
  • Continually update technical knowledge and skills and share them with the team.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in software development, including 3+ years in leadership roles.
  • Proficient in multiple programming languages, full-stack development, modern architectures, CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Strong understanding of software development practices, including OOP, functional programming, scripting, UX best practices, unit testing, TDD/BDD, Agile/Scrum, and database management (SQL & NoSQL).
  • Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, and client management skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
