Project Specialist Role

We are seeking a skilled Project Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will provide analytical support and expertise in portfolio management, project administration, budget planning, and technical assistance projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • SUPPORTING PROJECT ADMINISTRATION TASKS: Assist with loan, grant, and TA project processing activities, including procurement reviews and other project administration actions.
  • PROJECT RECORDS MANAGEMENT: Compile data and statistics on contract awards and disbursements for assigned projects, providing analytical inputs to project leaders and government counterparts.
  • BUDGET MONITORING: Analyze project performance, identifying shortfalls and areas for improvement, and providing recommendations to the project team.
  • DATA PREPARATION: Contribute to the preparation of project-specific reports, compiling data and statistical information as required.
  • MISSION SUPPORT: Participate in project inception, review, mid-term review, and completion missions, providing data and analyses to support mission objectives.
  • KNOWLEDGE SHARING: Share knowledge and best practices within the organization, contributing to the development of effective project administration manuals and procedures.
  • BUILDING PARTNERSHIPS: Foster strong relationships with clients, government agencies, and other stakeholders, ensuring timely and effective communication throughout project implementation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in portfolio management, project administration, budget planning, and/or project processing activities related to loans and TA projects.
  • Familiarity with industry best practices and guidelines.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and cross-cultural skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency with computer-based applications.
