About the Role

The Central Ordering Lead plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and timely procurement of materials and services required for various projects. This position oversees and manages the central ordering processes within our department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Order Management: The successful candidate will lead the purchasing of materials and services while adhering to project timelines.
  • Supplier Partnerships: Strong relationships with suppliers are essential for tracking performance.
  • Inventory Optimization: Maintaining inventory levels is crucial to ensure that materials are available when needed without overstocking.
  • Process Enhancement: Continuously assessing and improving ordering processes enhances efficiency and reduces costs.
  • Collaboration: Effective communication with centre delivery managers and stakeholders ensures that all ordering activities support project goals.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellence in customer service personally and coach and mentor team members to consistently deliver a customer-focused experience.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Leadership: Proven experience in leading and managing a team is essential.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills are necessary for effective collaboration.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are crucial for success.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in procurement software and inventory management systems is required.
