Job Opportunity: Tax Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Supervisor to lead and manage tax practice area operations, delivering quality tax services as per service agreements.

About the Role
  • Lead and manage tax practice area operations to deliver quality tax services.
  • Provide tax advisory to clients aiming at maximizing engagement and achieving qualitative outcomes.
  • Manage delivery of services through a team and ensure client-ready deliverables are compliant with applicable tax laws.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in taxation principles, procedures, and laws, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Oversee preparation of federal tax returns and create timely tax documentation.
  • Responsible for efficient completion of quality tax returns and providing excellent client service.
  • Conduct second-level review of tax provisions, calculations, and related documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations, including monitoring changes in tax legislation and implementing necessary adjustments.
  • Drive team production throughout the cycle, delegating and organizing work to maximize efficiency.
  • Actively contribute to POD/Team management, taking ownership of projects and reporting to senior management.
  • Assist in developing guidelines for the team while preparing tax documentation after analyzing US tax provisions.
  • Maintain active communication with stakeholders to manage expectations, meet deadlines, and enhance relationships.
  • Manage, develop, train, and mentor staff on tax projects and assess performance for engagement and year-end reviews.
  • Provide direction to the team, building organization culture, establishing measurable objectives aligned with business goals, hiring subordinates, and suggesting superior employee experience and retention strategies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • C.A./MBA(Finance)
  • 5-8+ years of progressive functional experience in a relevant role
  • Knowledge of Advanced Excel & other tools and platforms
  • US taxation principles procedures and laws
  • Corporate taxation principles procedures and laws
  • Internal Audit principles and process
  • Document and report preparation for management information and control
  • Accounting systems and software
  • Understanding of tax operations of shared service organizations and In-house Captive Centres
