Accounting Specialist Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accounting Specialist to lead our team's Accounts Payable function. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely execution of payment processing and invoice review in compliance with company policies, internal controls, and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and upload payment runs into the banking platform (ACH, SWIFT, wire transfers).
  • Review payment batches for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with approval matrix.
  • Liaise with Treasury for funding requirements and payment scheduling.
  • Investigate and resolve payment rejections or bank queries.
  • Review junior team members' invoice processing for accuracy in PO matching, GL coding, tax compliance (VAT, EWT), and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to invoice processing SLAs and escalation protocols.
  • Act as first-level escalation point for vendor disputes and complex AP issues.
  • Investigate and resolve mismatched purchase order/invoice data.

Compliance & Process Improvement:

  • Ensure all AP transactions comply with company policies and statutory regulations.
  • Participate in process reviews, system enhancements, and automation initiatives.
  • Assist with internal and external audit requests related to AP activities.

Team Support:

  • Provide guidance and training development to team member.
  • Support the Team Lead in workload distribution and performance monitoring.
