Job Overview

Senior Software Engineer Role

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Software Engineer to join our team. As a key member of the software development team, you will be responsible for designing and developing new features, improving existing ones, and ensuring high-quality delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Software Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, design and develop new ServiceNow functionality, and enhance custom applications.
  • Coding Standards: Consistently apply coding patterns, best practices, and data-driven approaches to enhance functionality and ensure code quality.
  • Database Management: Lead discussions to design and utilize relational database structures, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
  • Integration: Interface with the ServiceNow vendor for all operational requests/issues/needs and collaborate with cross-functional teams to define integration requirements.
  • Automation: Continuously work toward simplification, automation, and innovation of enterprise ServiceNow instance, building and maintaining automated monitoring tools to detect anomalies and failures.
  • Collaboration: Participate in daily scrum meetings and other Agile ceremonies, proactively identify and communicate issues as they arise, and provide operational support on a rotational basis.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Programming Languages: Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++.
  • ServiceNow: Experience with ServiceNow implementation, configuration, and customization.
  • Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Database Management: Knowledge of relational database management systems and experience with database design and optimization.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
