Medical Coding Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking a Medical Coding Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality training programs related to medical coding and billing.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have experience in medical coding and a strong understanding of ICD-10 CM, CPT, E/M coding, Business of Medicine, Edit Resolution, and Revenue Cycle Management.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and update training modules to ensure they remain relevant and effective.
  • Maintain knowledge of coding guidelines and provide continuing education units to staff.
  • Provide training and review for onboarding coders and refresher training for tenured coders.
  • Disseminate changes and updates in guidelines and rules.
  • Collaborate with workgroups to resolve issues that impact internal and external customers.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Graduate degree in a medical or allied health field or equivalent work experience.
  • CPC certification from AAPC or CCS certification from AHIMA.
  • Proficient in Revenue Cycle Management, E/M, and Procedure Coding.
  • Strong verbal, written communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and function in a team environment.
  • Ability to plan well and prioritize work under pressure.
