Medical Billing Specialist Role Overview

The Medical Billing Specialist position is a critical component of our healthcare team, responsible for ensuring the smooth processing of medical claims. This role involves thorough investigation of claim rejections and denials, as well as diligent documentation of related account activities.

This position requires expertise in various aspects of revenue cycle management, including eligibility verification, charge review, claims submission, AR follow-up, and denial management. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

We are seeking an experienced Medical Billing Specialist who can work collaboratively with team members and healthcare providers to deliver high-quality results. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in end-to-end revenue cycle processes and be proficient in using relevant software systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify patient eligibility and benefits to ensure accurate coverage
  • Submit claims in a timely and compliant manner
  • Monitor claim status and conduct A/R follow-up to ensure prompt payment
  • Research and resolve claim rejections and denials
  • Document all account activities accurately and efficiently
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years of experience in revenue cycle management, including eligibility verification, charge review, claims submission, and denial management
  • Proficiency in using relevant software systems, such as DME
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
